The Strategic Threat Assessment is designed to help the ROAM community identify and understand emerging or long-term risks to Christians, churches, missionaries, or faith-based operations. Unlike time-sensitive alerts, this report provides a broader analysis of trends, actors, and warning signs that may lead to persecution, displacement, or operational disruption. It enables members to anticipate threats, prepare responses, and protect those carrying out the Great Commission in high-risk areas.
This alert is issued when a threat actor—such as a terrorist group, militia, or radical movement—makes a public or credible call to violence against Christians, missionaries, churches, or associated entities. These alerts aim to provide early warning, assess the potential impact, and offer actionable recommendations for those at risk. While not every threat leads to immediate violence, prior public calls have preceded attacks on Christian gatherings, aid workers, and places of worship.
